Tried agp 4x. It corrects some of the problems. Shame i can't use the full potential of that card.
It doesn't resolve the jerking. Jerks pretty much when playing css. other games don't do that dammit.

Maybe force CSS to use a lower direct x mode. I think you type mat_dxlevel 70 in the console to force directx 7 or mat_dxlevel 81 to force directx 8.1

I'm just guessing, I dont know if that will fix the problem but worth a shot.

Tried that, doesn't resolve the problem.
Also been in touch with ATI customer support and they said it might b broken or something. I have friends who also have 9800 pro and they don't have any problems with css. I think it might b my motherboard aswell. Go figure it out.
Just bought this low budjet card and now i can't play! Bloody hell.

Been googling and found some similar problems with other people aswell. Might be that VIA chipset has some problems with ATI or it might be my VIA4in1 driver pack that didn't install agp3 driver or my power supply doesnt provide strong enough current. Thou club3d quarantees 350w would do it. What cihipset is on your pc mkone?

Thank you. I'm still waiting reply from club3d, but i'm pretty sure i'll change my card to 6600GT. I've read in many forums that people are experiencing similar diffculties with via chipsets and radeon 9600-9800. Can't b bothered to buy new mobo 'cos i'll have to buy one later for 64 support.
Thanks you all for your help. If anything comes to some1s mind please post!

My old card is GF4 TI 4800 SE 128 Mb
Never actually looked how many fps, but it's decent when lowering the details a bit.
Installed Windows again eyesterday along with css. Now steam is crowded. If only I could get my CSS updated...
btw whats the command to display fps? =)
