know the feeling. One chirstmas just got a new game (this was in the good old 486 days) and i was about to start playing a sudden flash and bang. My monitor smoking and it even colored the walls black... So much for my chirstmas. had to wait till the stores were open to get a new one...
Once my power supply decided that it was all over, no matter how hard i tried to switch it on it wouldn't do shite! I locateded that it was actually the I/0 button that was broken so opened my power and rewired it =)
Luckily it worked for a year or so... If something had happened i'm not sure what the insurance company would've said.. lol _________________

Years ago, back in the day I had a problem with a noisy fan on my AMD K5 75MHz so I grabbed my swiss army knife and stuck the blade through the vent just to catch the fan and stop it. Unfortunately I pushed it in to far and generated a nice lightning bolt. Luckily I wasnt touching the metal bit
Heres a pic from the archives (approx 8 years ago)

If "a" stands for success, then the formula is:
a = x + y + z
"x" is work, "y" is game
and "z" means to keep one's trap shut.

It gets better... a few weeks later I knocked the PC off the desk. A few weeks after that the monster 1.2Gb HDD had a headcrash. Took it apart and the heads had scratched the upper platter. Had a 210Mb drive to fall back on though. Ah the good old days _________________ TħΣ کΔ!ηT
