HOSTING DEDICATED SERVERS I can't host a dedicated server from my home PC, its always staying on LAN. even when I turn off my firewall.
I have tried making new rules in the firewall, and deactivated XP's firewall when playing the dedicated CSS server, but still no differance.
Ports? Do they have any thing to do with anything?

You need at least port 27015 open for tcp and udp traffic. I've heard that you should also open up a few ports above that as well so open up 27015 to 27025.

lol ive tried and failed ive got EVERYTHING working mani admin etc but i dont know how to open ports on my wireless router.
kcorp kls-530 anyone know how?

Just looked on the KCORP web site. The kls-530 is a wireless PCI card. You need to configure whatever gadget is plugged directly into the DSL line.
For example if I'm at home on my laptop it connects through a wireless access point and then drops down a length of ethernet into a Cisco SOHO ADSL router. I would need to configure the router to forward the ports to my internal IP address.
Try this:
Click 'Start' then 'Run' and type 'cmd'
Type 'ipconfig'
You should see 'Default Gateway........: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'
The xxx will be a bunch of numbers.
Open a web browser and type 'http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' where xxx is the same as the default gateway.
With a bit of luck you will land on your routers web config page. Maybe you will need a user name and password. It may tell you what sort of router it is.
Or not, let us know
